However, most of my clients are able to receive partial reimbursement from their insurance once their deductible has been met. Typically, insurance covers between 50% and 80% of my fee. If you’re unsure about your insurance benefits, I encourage you to contact your insurance company directly and ask about coverage for an “out-of-network clinical social worker.” If we decide to work together, I will provide you with a detailed invoice (called a superbill) each month. You can submit this to your insurance company to request reimbursement. I will also provide a Good Faith Estimate outlining the expected costs for your sessions. My current fee for a 45-minute individual therapy session is $240.
